Cheers Fraser. He's been at each of our FA Cup wins and the World Cup Final so at least if he does go he can go having seen all our wins.

What the fuck have I seen? The inter-toto cup and the play offs FFS. 43 years old... (too young to remember 1980)

;-)

My dad's seriously ill in hospital. Can't speak much at all. Told him Declan Rice had been picked for England. Got a big smile.

Congrats to him. Well deserved.

Now let's see if he can resist having his head turned.
You can bet your bottom dollar that Klopp and Guardiola will have their players whispering in his ear the whole time.

If you read my post you will find that I couldn't agree more with you... we should be building our team around him.

He was never NOT going to be picked after the switch was he? I just hope he doesn't get crocked/battered and it will be a joy to see a Hammer fucking out the likes of Dier and Horrendouson

(That's right: he can replace both) COYI.

I had a skim through the u23 match commentary at Swansea (3-0 win in Wales) and Nathan Holland appeared to be creating a lot of the danger.
Would be worth giving him a run as a sub for Anderson late in some games maybe.
The rise of Rice must be inspiring for all the youngsters in that team.

Brilliant to finally have a player in the squad that has a good chance of the first 11 and staying there.

Gareth sticking loyal to some players that have been woeful this season, Trippier, Rose, Alli, Dier.

Contrary to what the bitter Lertie says, I think it's absolutely fucking brilliant that we've finally produced another England player. It's been far roo long.

Huge credit must go to Terry Westley, who seems to be producing proper talent that can get into our first team.

We could have players playing for England, Argentina and Brazil. Just let that sink in.

I saw something that said Rice might get in because Harry Winks is injured.
That’s like saying Lionel Messi might get in the Argentinian squad because Lionel Scaloni was injured

Great news.

Rainman Zero still reckons he’s just a club squad player.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice will be named in England's squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro in March.

Rice, 20, switched his international allegiance from Republic of Ireland to England in a move recently ratified by the game's world governing body Fifa.

London-born Rice played three times for the Republic but qualified for England as they were all friendly appearances.

England host the Czechs on 22 March and are away in Montenegro on 25 March.

Rice, who has Irish grandparents, played for the Republic from Under-16 level and went on to make three senior friendly outings last year, including games against France and the United States before the 2018 World Cup.

He broke into the West Ham first-team at the start of the season and, as he considered his international future, was omitted from Republic squads because playing competitive games would have stopped him switching allegiance.

Ludo and Two left feet

Are you for real?
£80m is nothing now.
We certainly couldn't buy a replacement of the same calibre in England or Europe for that matter.
Have you seen the way we play at the moment ?
Lose to jackshit from league 1and thrashed ny Wolves.
Rice is our most important player by far. He is the most consistent player we have and will get better.
Even when we do lose he is still trying 100%, you can't buy that.
Arnautovic and Anderson are replacable and most will think they are our best players.
Lanzini is the only one who comes close to Rice now and he will need the rest of the season to get back to his top level again
Lanzini is not ready to play International football yet but I bet you what you like there will be players there trying to turn his head.

10 first team players that could walk in our team your are fucking kidding me. £8m doesn't even buy you a Hernandez ffs
